... was the third child and younger son of the Rev. Arthur Vaughan Williams and his wife Margaret. Arthur Vaughan Williams was the vicar of Down Ampney, which is a village between Cirencester and Swindon. Margaret was born Margaret Wedgwood; she was the great–granddaughter of Josiah Wedgwood. She was also the niece of Charles Darwin; her mother, Caroline Wedgwood, was Darwin's sister.
Charles Darwin was also descended from Josiah Wedgwood; his mother, Susannah, was Wedgwood's daughter. This means that Ralph Vaughan Williams, as well as being the great–great–grandson of Josiah Wedgwood, was also his great–great–great–nephew.
Wikipedia has a detailed article about this family, including an extensive family tree.
